I need to see this movie. First, I need to confess: Having studied medieval lit for years (including Arthurian with the great Bonnie Wheeler at SMU), I am always dissatisfied with this poem. Heresy I know, but I don't think the author(s) had a clue about the green world, the one so brilliantly detailed in these essays. I don't mean that the reason the poem is so unsatisfying to me is that it's different. I mean it's dumb. If I still taught, I'd teach the Griefbacon essays instead.
