TW: Sexual Assault

I'm from the UK, so Mother's day is on a different date, but today has still been a very difficult day for a different reason. (hence why I am up at 1:15 am) I found out that a family friend of mine who is 14 was raped, so that has rather rocked our whole world in a negative sense.

I'm already subscribed, but I vividly remember discovering your restorative writing when I was going through a similarly dark moment last year; so I hope anyone else who is struggling or having a tough day treats themselves and subscribes to Griefbacon. It's got me through various ruts and inspired me throughout the year.

Does this work if you would like to change from monthly to yearly?

Nope! Désolé.

you could try unsubscribing and then resubbing at a year, but i don´t think that works

Seconding elm’s comment! I had hoped that it would but I guess Substack maybe blocked that? If it were up to me it would work. I’ll check on it and see what I can do? Maybe w a different email address/account?

{emerges from Monday blender}

You offered a sale before and I set for the monthly 5 dollars. So I went clicked the link and it offered me... 50$/year and not 30$. So I said, 'OK!' and just put the 50 in. Substack makes it somewhat annoying to totally unsubscribe (you have to suspend delivery and tell it to quit charging you), unlike Der Spiegel, which let me unsub with one click, once I navigated the Deutsch. (I think the system is set up to charge people on the first go and Substack assumes authors only want to give discounts to first-time subscribers.)

(And I did both unsubs on one stack where it was made known I should go away for being ... pro-trans? or not anti-trans? or not anti-pro-trans? because some gobblygook. Never did refund me. Charmed.)

Congrats on placing that essay, BTW. 🎉
